Woman Impressed By Show Of Patriotism

We were on I-95 near the 169 mile marker coming home from a family reunion at Lake Greenwood when we approached the overhead bridge and saw two young men waving huge American flags.

The Disease Of Misinformation

At the Dillon City Council meeting on Monday night, Councilman Phil Wallace made the remark that there was a lack of education as to where the money comes from and where the money goes in regards to city expenditures. He called it a “horrible disease in this town.”

Roads

As we head in to the heart of the summer months we tend to spend more time on the road. While on road trips it is easy to make a comparison between our state and other states. For example ,  the pavement may suddenly get smoother, or rougher, as one travels through neighboring states.

Marlboro Electric Builds Dillon County’s First Spec Building

City Passes New Budget

The City of Dillon passed their 2013-2014 budget recently.
The total budget is $9,224,261.

Wreck Closes Interstate

A wreck on I-95 South at the 174 mile marker closed down the interstate  for about 2 1/2 hrs. due to this accident (7:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.) on July 2.

City Facing Major Sewer Problems

The City of Dillon has “major, major problems” with what was referred to as the Perdue sewer line in the Deerwood Avenue area, according to Mayor Todd Davis at Monday night’s meeting.
