Gia’s Training Center Opens (with photo gallery)

Gia’s Training Center, The South of The Border Track, held its Grand Opening on Saturday, December 9, at noon.
There were eleven races on the opening day. The opening race, the Schooling Race, was won by the horse owned by Tommy Bass. The second race, 69 and down was 275-yards. The third race, 79 and Down, was 300 yards. The fourth race was the 100-yard Race. The fifth race, Two-year-old Maiden, was 250 yards. The sixth race, Three-year-old Open, was 200 yards. The seventh race, Three-year-old Maiden, was 250 yards. The eighth race, 89 and Down, was 300 yards and was won by Gia’s Equine horse, Bayou Chill. The ninth race, was 250-Yard Open Race. The tenth race was known as The Cowboy Race Turn and Burn. The final race was a 75-yard Foot Race.
There were inflatables and other games for the kids and food was available by many vendors.
