Eagles Swoop In And Get Win Over DCS Varsity Boys Basketball Team

The visiting Pee Dee Academy Eagles swooped into Dillon Christian School for a 68-40 in varsity boys basketball on Tuesday, February 15 in Dillon.
Pee Dee controlled the tip-off and set the tempo for the game. Pee Dee placed the first points onto the scoreboard. Dillon Christian School quickly responded with a Grayson Singletary 2-point basket. The players went back and forth at a great pace with one team scoring and then the other team scoring. By the end of the first quarter, Pee Dee was up 16-12.
In the second quarter of play, Pee Dee applied more pressure. However, Dillon Christian School responded well. By halftime, the Warriors trialed by 7, 29-22. Pee Dee Academy added 18 points to the scoreboard in the third quarter and managed to hold Dillon Christian School to 14 points to increase the lead to 11 points. In the fourth quarter, Dillon Christian School could muster only 4 points while Pee Dee Academy added 21 points to the score.
Pee Dee’s Hudson Spivey led all scorers with 32 points. He sank twelve 2-point baskets and 8 free throws. Cameron Weston added 21 points on five 2-point baskets, three 3-point baskets, and 2 free throw. Colton Caulder had two 2-point baskets and a 3-point basket for 7 points. Hughes Elvington added 5 points to the scoreboard as he sank a 2-point basket and 3-point basket. Drew Singletary had a 2-point basket. Dylan Carter added a free throw.
Dillon Christian School’s Grayson Singletary led the Warriors with 20 points. He had five 2-point baskets, three 3-point baskets, and a free throw. Jackson Outlar added 7 points with two 2-point baskets and a 3-point basket. Thompson Stone connected for two 3-point baskets for 6 points. Lucas Granger sank a 3-point basket. Ron Bracey and Kaden Locklear each had a 2-point basket.
Dillon Christian School committed 7 fouls in the first half and 7 fouls in the second half. Pee Dee committed 3 fouls in the first half and 7 fouls in the second half.
