PHOTO GALLERY: DCS Girls Get Win Over Carolina Academy

The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors defeated the visiting Christian Academy Lady Saints of Myrtle Beach 34-28 on Tuesday, January 26, in Dillon.
The Lady Warriors built up an 8-point lead, 12-4, after the first period of play. By halftime, the lead was only 1 point, 15-14. After 3 periods of play, Dillon was up 28-20.
The Lady Warriors were led in scoring by Katie Collins with 10 points of which she hit two 2-point baskets and sank 6 free throws. Olivia Stone placed 8 points on the scoreboard by connecting with two 3-point baskets and a 2-point basket. Alex Heasley sank three 2-point baskets for 6 points while Olivia Stone hit a long 3-point basket and calmly sank 2 free throws for 5 points. Michele Chen sank 3 free throws from the charity line while Sheridan Rice sank a 2-point basket.
The Lady Saints’ Payton Rumley connected for two 2-point baskets and 4 free throws for 8 points while M. Kate Paysuer and Sydney Wittsden each sank a 2-point basket and a 3-point basket for 5 points. Grace Owens garnered 4 points on two 2-point baskets. Mary McDonald, Ashlyn Mattox, and Carly Jackson each sank a 2-point basket.
The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors committed 5 fouls in the first half and 7 fouls in the second half while the Christian Academy Lady Saints committed 9 fouls in the first half and 8 fouls in the second half.
