The Dillon Christian School Warriors edged the visiting Christian Academy Saints 56-53 in hard-fought, closely contested varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Tuesday, January 26.
Adam Norman led Dillon Christian with 16 points of which he sank six 2-point baskets and 4 free throws while Greyson Singletary connected for 13 points. He sank four 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and 2 free throws. Coley Thorndyke had three 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and a 2 free throws. Cameron Sweat garnered 6 points on three 2-point baskets. Weston Glasgow had 5 points on a 2-point basket and 3 free throws. Dewayne McCormick two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Hayden Hickman sank 2 free throws.
Seth DeBruhl pumped in 18 pints on five 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and 2 free throws while Fisher Darden connected for 14 points on seven 2-point baskets. Vinny Pelligrino added 8 points to the scoreboard on four 2-point baskets. Lawton Fulford sank a 3-point basket and 2 free throws for 5 points. Christian McDonald had a 3-point basket and a 2-point basket for 5 points. Jackson Rumley and a 2-point basket and a free throw for 3 points.
Dillon Christian School committed a total of 14 fouls in the game, 7 in each half. Christian Academy was guilty of 8 fouls in the first half and 9 in the second half. Attend a game and show your support.
