Felton Leads Mullins to 86-80 Overtime Win Against Wildcats

The Dillon Wildcats fell 86-80 to Mullins on Saturday night in Dillon as Jalek Felton poured in 14 of 16 points in overtime for the Auctioneers.

Dillon’s Eri’Reon Hayes tied the game at 70-70 with a layup in the final seconds of regulation play to send the game into overtime. The Wildcats pushed for 10 points in overtime, but Felton dominated with 14 to seal the win for the Auctioneers.

Felton earned a game-high 38 points in the win, with Javarius Smith added 12 and Fabian Carroll and Nizohn Powell each earning nine. Shamar Foxworth and DonQwayvias Davis each added six, and Jamel Davis and Arthur March each earned two.

Dillon was led by JaQuan Knowlin with 15 points, Avery McCall with 13, and Rakeem Fletcher with 12. Eri’Reon Hayes scored 11; Que Bethea, 9; Darius Bethea, 7; Omar McCollum, 6; Raheem McClam, 6; and Joe Manning, 2.

Dillon slips to 7-7 overall and 1-1 in Region 8-2A, while Mullins improved to 8-8 and 2-0 in the region.

The Wildcats will be on the road this week to face Marion tonight and Loris on Friday. Dillon will be at Waccamaw next Tuesday, and back home to host Aynor on Friday, January 30. Game times are set for 6:00 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local team!
