Mavis Cain Rouse died July 4, 2014. At her request, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on July 9, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Cooper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers and food, please make memorials to DCOGYAC, PO Box 701, Dillon, SC or a favorite charity. She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen (Ed) Lane, a granddaughter, Joyce Preacher of Dillon, a granddaughter, Debbie (Ed) Harrell of Florence, and their daughter, Brandy (Drew) Streett, and son, Harrington, and daughter, Coker of Pawleys Island; grandson, Kenny Lane, his daughter, Ashley (Trey) Rowell and children, Jaylee and Addie Lane, and Colton Rowell, his son, Justin Inman and his children, Justin, Jacquan, Braylon, and Jakayla. Also surviving is her brother, T. B. Cain of Jacksonville, NC. She also had several loving devoted nephews and nieces and a “nanny” child, Alicia Wallace and a host of faithful loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Rouse, and brothers, Robert Cain, D.W. Cain, Sisters, Reatha Moore, Mary Johnson, Kate Ray, and Annie Cain.
She requested only a single rose as a memorial to her life. The family will be at 601 E. Jackson Street, Dillon and 2363 Tall Pines Road, Dillon, SC.
