Latta’s junior varsity Lady Vikings were scheduled to wrap up a successful season with a double-header against Hannah-Pamplico on Wednesday night.
The Lady Vikings earned 15-5 and 9-8 wins over Lake View to start the season. Kurstin Hopkins led the Vikings on the mound with strong batting from Camryn Sawyer, Courtney Bracey, and Brandy Williams.
Latta also defeated West Florence 6-1 on March 8 before tying 5-5 with the JV Knights on March 15.
The Lady Vikings also claimed the championship at the Cheraw Tournament on March 9. Latta earned an 11-1 win over Buford, a 2-0 win over Chesterfield, and another 5-0 win over Chesterfield to claim the championship.
On Monday, the Vikings traveled to Johnsonville and took their only losses of the season, falling 8-2 and 6-3 in the double-header.
