Franklin D. Elliott “Frank” of Lake View, SC, surrounded by his family, left his earthly home to begin eternity in heaven, with those who have gone before him. After a short and painful battle with cancer, his life ended peacefully on May 17, 2012.
He was born in Marion County, the son of the late Jeffie Bethel and Lennie Mae Page Elliott. Mr. Frank was one of 8 children, six of whom preceded him in death; A. B., Doris, J. P., Carlene, Jeffie Jr, and Evelyn.
He is survived by his sister Faye Ivey (Harold); three daughters, Cynthia Elliott Spivey (Bobby), Nadine Paris (Bob), and Jeannie Alford; seven grandchildren, Jeanell Swett, Jimmy W. Sweat Jr. (Donna), Brandy Huggins (James), Tara Alford, Ashley Cloninger (Wesley), Christopher and Brittney Thompson; and eight great grandchildren, Cole, Noah & Boone Sweat, Karli Alford, Ava Malloy, Gunner Huggins, Brittany and Austin Hardee, and special friend Lorraine Hayes.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Lake View, directed by Cooke Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kemper Church Cemetery of Lake View, SC. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.
