Robert O. Lussier, Sr.

Robert O. Lussier, Sr., 76, of Dillon died on Friday, December 23, 2011 at his home.
 Robert was born in Cumberland, Rhode Island. He was the son of the late Oliver T. and Dorilda Lavoie Lussier. Robert served his country in the United States Airforce and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was employed with Owens-Corning Fiberglass in Rhode Island and later became a self-employed logger until his retirment. In his early years, he loved running Fox Hounds, Coon Hounds, and Beagles and was a avid outdoorsman. He was a loving man who will be missed dearly by everyone.
Surviving are his children, Karen Whaley of Coventry, Rhode Island; Julie Martin of Lake Worth, Florida; Robert O. Lussier, Jr. of Darlington, SC; and Marie Lussier of Winter Haven, Florida; his brothers, Francis Lussier of Cumberland, Rhode Island; and Arthur Lussier of the Philippines; his sisters, Doris Scott of Pascoag, Rhode Island; and Anita Renaud of Cumberland, Rhode Island; and Barbara Cornell of North Smithfield, Rhode Island; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Small Lussier; and by his sisters, Pauline Provoyeur and Antoinette Collins.
The family received friends from 6 until 8 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home in Darlington. Mr. Lussier will be buried with his wife of 49 years in Harrisville, Rhode Island.
