The Dillon Kiwanis Club held its annual installation of officers and ladies’ night at B&C Steakhouse and Barbecue on Tuesday, October 4. A delicious meal and fellowship was enjoyed by all.
Special guest speaker for the event was Patricia Moore Henegan, Trustee Region 8 Carolinas Kiwanis.
The Immediate Past President Gene Hill handed the gavel over to incoming President Daryl “Peanut” Miller. Miller expressed his gratitude for the service of outgoing President Gene Hill.
The Kiwanis Board of Directors for fiscal year October 1, 2011, through September 30, 2012, was recognized.
The Dillon Kiwanis Club was formed in September, 1948. The Dillon Kiwanis Club has been serving the children in this area with programs like Dixie Youth Baseball, the Terrific Kids’ Program, Reading at the Schools, and more.
