Fork Neighborhood Watch Meeting Held

The Fork Community held a Neighborhood Community Watch meeting on Thursday, September 22 in the fellowship hall at Fork Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Warren, the pastor of the church had an opening prayer.
Attendance for this meeting was very good, and residents were given several reminders concerning their safety and the protection of their personal property. They were informed of several scams in neighboring counties and once again were reminded to stay alert, be cautious, and dare to be nosy.
“Neighbors watching after Neighbors” remains as the number one deterrent to crime, and Fork residents are united in this effort. As always, the community thanks Sheriff Hulon and his deputies for their continued cooperation and assistance to the Fork community.
At this meeting, information was also given concerning the possible closing of the Fork Post Office. There was much discussion and plans of actions taken in an effort to make sure Fork retained its identity and its post office.
