Services for Emma Jean Chavis will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Dillon Church of God with burial in Leland Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chavis, 59, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Raiford, NC, December 26, 1950, she was the daughter of Warnie McGirt Hunt and the late Albert Hunt. She was a member of Leland Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dallas Chavis of Pembroke, NC; children, David Franklin Chavis of Hamer, Scotty Lee Chavis of Maxton, NC, Bobby Lynn Chavis, and Christopher Chavis both of Little Rock, and Leigh Ann Chavis of Pembroke, NC; mother, Warnie M. Hunt of Little Rock; brothers, Junior Hunt of Pembroke, NC, and James Hunt of Little Rock; sisters, Linda N. Hunt of Sellers, Dorothy Hunt of Marlboro County, Patsy Floyd of Hamer, and Betty Grable Butler of Little Rock, and Molly Wiggins of Bennettsville; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
