Graveside services for Carson H. Herring will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum directed by Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon. Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the mausoleum.
Mr. Herring, 79, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Lake City Scranton Healthcare Center.
Born in Dillon County, May 16, 1931, he was the son of the late Tom Herring and Mary Hartley Herring. He was a member of College Park Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Cornelia Carson Herring of Rock Hill; step-son, James Roger Brown (Jane) of Lancaster, SC; friends, Richard & Virginia Coleman of Florence; several step-grandchildren.
Mr. Herring was preceded in death by his sons, Richard Trent Herring and Mark Calvin Herring.
