Lake View High School held their annual athletic awards ceremony recently with several Wild Gator athletes receiving trophies and being recognized for special awards.
Seven student athletes were given the SCHSL Senior Scholar Athlete Award, including Ashlyn Arnette, Khaili Fields, Staci Humphrey, Toni Nash, Noah Pace, Adam Page, and Ashley Rogers.
Varsity Football awards went to Reco Brown and Christian McDaniels, Offensive MVPs; and Jeremy Moody, Defensive MVP. Outstanding Players Laython Morton, Xavier Johnson, Tiabis Bethea, Brandon Acevedo, Khaili Fields, Datron Jones, Duane Nichols, DeAnte Bridgett, Anthony Bines, Adam Page, and Kory Page were also recognized.
Region 8A All Region football players included Reco Brown, Xavier Johnson, Datron Jones, Christian McDaniels, and Jeremy Moody.
JV Football awards went to Webb Cardwell, Best All Around Lineman; Elijah Flemming, Best Lineman; Alex Huggins, Offensive Lineman; Lucas Callahan, Defensive Lineman; Gerquan McNeil, Best Back; Tajah Nesmith, Best Running Back; and Jordan King, Coaches Award.
Varsity Volleyball awards went to Nakedra Page, Hustle Award; Jasmine Ford, Rookie of the Year; Kayla Page, Outstanding Offensive Player; Ally Spivey, HSSR All State and Outstanding Defensive Player; Savanna Williamson, HSSR All State and MVP; Staci Humphrey and Ashley Sanders, Coach’s Award; and Shakyra Parker, Most Improved Player.
All Region Volleyball players included Jasmine Ford, Kayla Page, Ally Spivey, and Savanna Williamson.
JV Volleyball awards went to Haley Miller, Alexis Sessions, and Audrey McDonald, each receiving the Coach’s Award.
Ashley Rogers received the MVP award for Varsity Girls Golf and was selected for the North-South All Star game.
Boys Varsity Basketball awards went to Delvon Bethea, Best Defensive Player; Duane Nichols, All Region and Best Offensive Player; and Jeremy Moody and Anthony Bines, Coach’s Award.
Girls Varsity Basketball awards went to Savannah Evans, Team Choice Award; Staci Humphrey, Sportsmanship Award; Hannah Miller, Rookie of the Year; Toni Nash, Sixth Man of the Year; Jasmine Ford, HSSR Rookie of the Year, All Region, and MVP; Kristlin Thompson, Hustle Award; Diayah Williams and Kayla Page, Coach’s Award; NaKedra Page, Defensive MVP; Olivia McDaniel, HSSR All State and Offensive MVP; and Taylor Bethea, Most Improved Player.
Boys JV Basketball awards went to DeAnte Bridgett, Best Defensive Player; Darius Ford, Best All-Around Player; and Brandon Acevedo, Defensive Rebounding Award.
Girls JV Basketball Awards went to Janai Ford, Best Offensive Player; Tankaisia Wheeler, Best Defensive Player; Tyianna Cribb, Coach’s Award; and Arianna Coleman, Most Improved Player.
Varsity Softball awards went to Ashley Rogers, All Region, CAWS North-South All Star, and MVP; Marissa Tyndall, All Region, CAWS All State, and MVP; Ally Spivey, All Region and MVP; Kayla Page, Jasmine Ford, Logan Spivey, Madison Greene, Shakyra Parker, and Alex Elliott, MVP; and Braedyn Scott, Kyrston James, Savannah Church, and Sarah Evans, Coach’s Award.
JV Softball awards went to Braeydn Scott, Best Offensive Player; Savannah Church, Best Defensive Player; and Kyrston James and Danica Arch, Coach’s Award.
Varsity Baseball awards went to Justin Elliott, Best Offense; Nick Collins, Best Defense; Jeremy Moody, Coach’s Award; and Luc Newell, Team Captain. Josh Price, Carson Rogers, and Weston Rogers were all named All Region.
JV Baseball awards went to Jett Lewis, Best Offense; Webb Cardwell, Best Defense; and Peyton Cox, Most Valuable Player.
JV Cheerleader Holly White received the Coach’s Award, and Toni Nash received a special Swampy Mascot award.
Coach Bill Spivey was also recognized as the Volleyball Coach of the Year for Region 8A.
