Warriors Girls And Boys Varsity Get Wins Over King’s Academy

The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors varsity basketball team returned home Friday, January 4, with a 54-18 win over The King’s Academy in a game played in Florence.
The Lady Warriors held a 25-4 lead after the first period of play. By halftime, the Lady Warriors were up by 35 points. After 3 periods of play, the Lady Warriors were up by 37 points.
Dillon Christian School’s Taren Dubose scored a game-high 19 points. Stone and Freeman each connected for 7 points while Michelle Outlar and Anna Thompson each scored 6 points. Martin and Hunt sank 4 points. Britt also placed a point on the scoreboard for the Warriors.
Anniston Turner scored 12 points to lead The King’s Academy while Harris placed 4 points and Benton connected for 2 points for the team.
Dillon Christian School will travel to Christian Academy today (Tuesday, January 8) at 6:30 p.m.

The Warriors’ Ethan Brewington scored a game-high 19 points while Ian Bethea added 13 points. Campbell connected for 8 points, and T. Dubose connected for 7 points. Walt Bailey sank 6 points, and J. Dubose sank 4 points. Chen added 2 points in the win.
T. J. Merritts led The King’s Academy with a team-high 15 points while Dominic Orrico added 13 points. Alexander connected for 8 points, and Russell added 7 points. Waldrop sank 5 points, and Moya-Mendez and Myrick each had 3 points.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors will travel to Christian Academy today (Tuesday, January 8) at 7:30 p.m.
