A 2014 Dodge Journey was struck by a train after it got stuck on the railroad track on Harrison Street and Railroad Avenue in Dillon near Black’s Tire. The driver was no longer in the vehicle when police arrived, but was still in the area. While dispatch was attempting to notify CSX, one of the officers on the scene advised that a train was coming toward the vehicle. The vehicle was struck in the back. The fire department was also called to assist.
