Mount Calvary Baptist Church began Sunday, December 18, with fellowship and breakfast at 9:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center prior to Sunday School. After a time of church fellowship and breakfast, everyone dispersed to classrooms.
Keith Coward was in charge of the Sunday School time in the Family Life Center.
Pastor Harold Cooke was in charge of the 11:00 a.m. worship service in the Mount Calvary Sanctuary.
Miss Linda McKenzie had the Preparation for Worship followed by prayer and Worship through Giving. “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” was the Worship through Praise.
Pastor Cooke spoke from Luke 1: 11-14.
The Worship through Commitment was “Have You Been to Calvary”.
After the Benediction, Miss Linda McKenzie had the Postlude.
On Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m., the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Christmas play, “Star Struck! It Took A Miracle” was enjoyed by all.
The Lighting of the Candles took place under the instructions of Pastor Harold Cooke prior to the closing prayer by Youth Minister Josh Walters.
Afterwards, there was a church fellowship in the Family Life Center. Mount Calvary Baptist Church is located at 405 Mount Calvary Road, Dillon.
