Mr. John Sherwood Clark, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 25, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, December 29 at 11:00 am at Hayestown Cemetery of Lake View, conducted by Cooke Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 29 at 10:00 am at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Clark was born in Dillon County, SC, February 18, 1945, he was the son of the late George Clark, Sr., and Mary Frances Williamson Clark.
He was a member of Hayestown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Clark worked in textile and the construction industry until his retirement. He was a caring husband, father, and papa.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Barbara Kay Anderson Clark; daughters, Karen S. Clark, and Lori A. Hill (Darrell), both of Conway; granddaughter, M. Bailey Clark and grandson, K. McKenzie Hill; sister, Barbara Rising (Ken) of Shallotte, NC; brother, Everette Clark (Patsy) of Texas; many special nieces and nephews. Mr. Clark loved the Lord and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Elizabeth Utley (Guy) of Dillon, SC, and his brother George Clark, Jr. (Happy) of Darlington, SC.
