Services for Ilene Braswell Cox will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Beulah Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cox, 89, went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
Born in Dillon County, SC, October 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Russell Thomas Braswell and Blanche Rowell Braswell.
Survivors include her nieces, Jackie B. Bailey, of Dillon, Connie B. Roberts of Blenheim, and Helen Hubbard of Dillon; nephew, Michael Cox of Dillon; great nieces and nephews, Amanda Bailey Arnette (Mike) of Dillon, David Bailey (Cierra) of Hamer, Jack Outlar (Michelle) of Dillon, Dennis Cox, Jr. (Stephanie) of Latta, Trey Cox of Blenheim, Mitchell Sellers and Michael Sellers, both of Dillon; 15 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Cox, Jr.; and son, Rev. Russell Kenneth Cox.
The family would like to say a special thank you to McLeod Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Ilene during her illness.
