Richard Kopituk, Sr. of Latta, SC, passed away Saturday, April 17th, 2021.
Rich grew up in northern New Jersey. He graduated from The University of Notre Dame and went into the Navy . He met his wife Shirley while stationed in Charleston, SC.
He lead a life of service, including the Jaycees, School Board, ordained as Deacon and Elder for the Presbyterian Church, Latta Revitalization and Latta Veteran’s Park, which he spearheaded.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and niece. He was gregarious, loved to joke around, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 24th at 10 a.m. at Latta Presbyterian Church. Service at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery. In case of rain, service will be at Latta Presbyterian Church. Donations in his memory may be made to the Latta Presbyterian Church or the Navy League.
