William Michael “Mike” Miller

William Michael Miller (Mike) passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 in McLeod Regional Hospital, Florence. He was 75 years old. Born January 13, 1946, in Houston, Texas, he was a son of John E. and Rosemary Potts Miller.
Mike grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a 1964 graduate of Nathan Hale High School, attended Tulsa University, and was a lifetime fan of the Oklahoma University Sooners. He married his high school sweetheart and they had two children. Following her sudden death, he and his daughter relocated to South Carolina.
He later met and married Mary Skipper and moved to Dillon where he started his own business, Auto Magic of the Carolinas, Inc. As a Distributor of automotive cleaning and detailing products, he was on the road five days a week selling and delivering. His customers appreciated him most for his ability to accommodate their needs on short notice. After traveling both Carolinas for twenty-two years, he retired in 2014.
In recent years as Mike’s hearing loss began to slow him down, he kept his “Okie” smile and sense of humor which he shared with all he met.
Unable to hear well at church, he relied on closed captioning for the Sunday television ministry of Dr. David Jeremiah. Years ago Mike gave his heart to the Lord, and, as he said, he had do doubt he would clearly hear the Master’s voice when He said, “Welcome Home, Mike.”
Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Skipper Miller; his Dillon family: Kelly Bridgers, granddaughters Kristen Moody (Kevin) of Charleston, Lauren Johnson (Stephen) of Conway, and great granddaughters Blakely Johnson and Chrishann Moody; his Arizona family: son Scott Miller (Michele) of Queen Creek, AZ, grandsons, Zachary Miller and T.J. Miller; his Oklahoma family: daughter Chrissy Robbins (Tommy) of Glenpoole, OK and granddaughters Jordan Snow and Megan Snow. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother John C. (Butch) Miller, and his first wife Lynda Webb Miller, all of Oklahoma.
The Memorial Service celebrating his life will be in the Chapel of Cooper Funeral Home on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and the Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor James Smith officiating.
