DCS JV Get Win Over Carolina Academy

The Dillon Christian School junior varsity basketball team defeated the visiting Carolina Academy squad 49-34 in Dillon on Friday, February 5.
Dillon Christian School led 27-22 at halftime.
Dillon Christian School’s Walker Chavis had a game-high 30 points. He had eleven 2-point baskets and connected on 8 of 10 attempts from the charity line. Jackson Outlar had 10 points on two 3-point baskets and two 2-point baskets. Ford Richardson sank a 3-point basket. Thompson Stone, Kaden Locklear, and Ron Bracey each garnered a 2-point basket.
Carolina Academy was led in scoring by Peyton McCutcheon with 9 points with three 2-point baskets and a 3-point basket. Landon Miles and Landon Turner each had two 2-point baskets and a 3-point basket for 7 points. Dyson Lamb had a 3-point basket, a 2-point basket, and a free throw for 6 points. J T Hurst and Douglas Filyaw each garnered a 2-point basket. Jackson Altman sank a free throw.
Dillon Christian School committed 2 fouls in the first half and 5 fouls in the second half while Carolina Academy committed 5 fouls in the first half and 8 fouls in the second half.
