Lady Warriors Get Win Over Trinity-Byrnes

Lady Warriors returned home on Monday, March 25, with an 18-7 win over Trinity-Byrnes in 10-run rule, 6-inning game.
The Lady Warriors connected for 16 hits while holding Trinity-Byrnes to 7 hits.
Dillon Christian School picked up 3 runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed in the game. The Lady Warriors added 2 runs in the top of the third inning that were answered by Trinity-Byrnes with 3 runs in the bottom of the third inning. Dillon Christian School connected for 9 runs in the top of the fourth inning. Trinity Byrnes placed 3 runs on the scoreboard in the bottom of fifth inning. The Lady Warriors sent 4 runs across home plate in the top of the sixth inning. Trinity Byrnes added 2 runs to the scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Dillon Christian School’s Madison Bailey was perfect at the plate with 4 hits including a double in 4 at-bats. Cayla Church picked up 3 rbi and 2 hits in 3 at-bats. Savannah Sherman had 3 hits and 3 rbi in her 5 at-bats. Selena Johnson had 2 hits and 4 rbi in her 5 at-bats.
Trinity-Byrnes’ Kaleigh Perez had a double and a single with 2 rbi in her 4 at-bats. Madison McKimmy had a double and a single in her 3 at-bats. Winters had a hit and a rbi in her 3 at-bats.
Savannah Sherman picked up the win for Dillon Christian. She pitched 6 innings and allowed 6 hits, 7 runs of which 4 were earned, walked 2, and struck out 12.
Kaleigh Perez was charged with the loss. She pitched 2 innings and allowed 4 hits, 3 earned runs, walked 2, and struck out 3.
Dillon Christian School committed 4 errors, and Trinity -Byrnes committed 6 errors.
Dillon Christian School will travel to Wilson today (Thursday, March 28) at 5:30 p.m.
