Lady Gators Hand Panthers A Loss

The Lake View Lady Wild Gators handed the visiting Lake City Panthers a 15-1 loss in 5 innings in varsity softball action played in Lake View on Monday, March 25.
The game was scoreless until the top of the second inning when Lake View placed 7 runs on the scoreboard. The Lady Wild Gators added 3 runs in the top of the third, and 5 runs in the top of the fourth inning.
Lake City’s lone run came in the top of the fourth inning.
Lake View’s Baxleigh Arnette was perfect at the plate with 2 hits and 2 rbi in her 2 at-bats. Spivey Evans had a triple, a single, and 3 rbi in her 3 at-bats. Alex Elliot connected for a home run and 2 rbi in her 3 at-bats.
Catelynn Owens and S. Burgess each had a hit in 2 at-bats for Lake City.
Emma King picked up the win. She pitched 5 innings and allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run, walked 1, and struck out 3.
K. Hanna was tagged with the loss. She pitched 2 innings and allowed 6 hits and walked 3.
Lake View will travel to Lamar today (Thursday, March 28) for a 6:00 p.m. game.
