The Dillon Lady Wildcats handed Georgetown a 15-0 loss in the run-ruled shortened 5-inning game played in Dillon on Friday, April 20.
Dillon wasted little time in placing runs on the scoreboard. The Lady Wildcats scored 2 run in the bottom of the first inning and added 2 in the bottom of the second, 2 in the bottom of the third, and 4 in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Dillon connected for 12 hits while holding Georgetown to 3 hits.
On defense, Dillon did not commit an error while Georgetown was guilty of 2.
Abby Bristow was perfect at-the-plate for Dillon with 3 hits including a triple, a double, a single, and 2 rbi while Monasia Sowells also garnered 2 hits and 3 rbi in her 3 at-bats for the Lady Wildcats. Emilee Price hit a double and picked up a rbi in her 2 at-bats.
Monasia Sowells picked up the win. She pitched 5 innings and allowed 3 hits, no runs, walked 3, and struck out 2.
