The Dillon Lady Wildcats returned home from Darlington on Thursday night, April 19, after losing a heart-breaker 10-8 to Darlington late in the game.

Monazia Sowells suffered the loss. She pitched 6 innings and allowed 11 hits, 10 runs of which 9 were earned, walked 5, and struck out no one.
Darlington placed 2 runs on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second inning and added another run in the bottom of the third inning. Dillon answered with 3 runs in the top of the fourth to knot the score at 3. Dillon added another run in the top of the fifth inning to take a 1-run lead. In the top of the sixth inning, Dillon scored 3 runs to go up by 4. However, in the bottom of the sixth inning, Darlington responded with 6 runs to take the lead.
