Dillon Junior Legion Gets Win Over Pee Dee

The Dillon Junior American league baseball team returned home Friday, June 9, with a 8-2 win over Pee Dee in a game played in Florence.
Daniel Camp pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed 4 hits, 2 earned runs, walked 1, and struck out 1 to pick up the victory.
Powers Rogers was tagged with the loss. He pitched 5 innings and allowed 6 hits, 5 runs of which 3 were earned, walked 3, and struck out 3.
Dillon took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning and the score remained that way until Pee Dee knotted the game at 2 in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Dillon quickly scored a run in the top of the fifth inning to regain a 3-2 lead. Dillon tacked on 5 more runs in the top of the sixth inning.
Dillon’s Davis Cook connected for 2 rbi on 2 hits in 3 at-bats while Daniel Camp garnered a rbi on 1 hit in 4 at-bats. Collin Hamilton also picked up a rbi on 1 hit in 3 at-bats.
Pee Dee’s Preston Miles doubled, singled, and picked up 2 rbi in 3 at-bats while Clay Tiller garnered a hit in 3 at-bats. Zach Dutton and Tyler Warren each got a hit in 4 at-bats.
Dillon traveled to Marion and Pee Dee traveled to Latta on Monday, June 11.
