Gene Anderson Sherwood, 84, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Regency Hospital of Florence. Funeral services were held Monday, April 3, 2017, at 3:00 p.m.. at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation was held prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kannaday Funeral Home.
Mr. Sherwood was born in Little Rock, SC, February 12, 1933, the son of the late Robert Yates and Pearl Proctor Sherwood. Gene retired as a cattle farmer and was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Erwin Sherwood of the home; nephew, Charles; and nieces, Susan and Patty Ann. He was predeceased by his brother, E.C. Sherwood.
