PHOTO GALLERY: DCS Boys Defeat Scotland Christian

The Dillon Christian School Warriors Varsity Boys basketball defeated Scotland Christian 88-49 in a game played in Dillon on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
The Warriors not only controlled the tip-off but also the tempo of the game from the onset while substituting freely.
Ross Carlyle got the Warriors on the scoreboard with a quick 3-pointer to start the ball rolling for the team. Somewhere in the first few minutes of the game Luke Price connected on 1 of 2 free throws and Demontez Alford also connected for the same.
With 2:35 remaining in the first period the Warriors held a commanding 13-4 lead.
Demontez Alford sank 1 for 2 points on a driving lay-up. Diaz Alexander laid in 1 for an easy 2 points, and then another one.
As time was expiring in the first period Scotland Christian connected for a 3 pointer to end the period with Dillon Christian leading 23-7.
The Warriors’ Jackson Wolfe sank a 3-pointer from the side to begin the second period of play. Diaz Alexander sank 2 free throws for Dillon Christian. Ross Carlyle connected on 1 of 2 free throws. Diaz Alexander sank a 2-pointer. Ross Carlyle connected for another long 3 from the side and with 2:34 remaining in the second period Dillon Christian’s lead was 44-18.
At halftime Dillon Christian School led 46-21.
The Scotland Christian and the Dillon Christian cheerleaders entertained the fans at halftime.
The Warriors were led in scoring by Diaz Alexander with 20 points. Ross Carlyle contributed 17 points, Demontez  Alford added 14 points. Jackson Wolfe contributed 12 points. Luke Price added 9 points, Michael Minges, Gage Bazemore, and John Rourke each had 4 points, and Tyreke Toomer and Kyle Floyd each contributed 2 points in the win.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors will travel to Williamsburg Academy on Friday, Dec. 9.
