Lady Warriors Defeat Lady Stallions

By Craig Brown
The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors basketball team defeated the Lady Stallions of Williamsburg Academy, 45-41, Friday night in Dillon at Warrior gymnasium.
The win puts the Lady Warriors at 3-0 on the season. Warrior Head Coach, Bo Stone, stated after the win that it had been a long time since the Warriors began the season at 3-0. Most Warrior fans might wonder when was the last time the girls even won three games in a season.
They actually went three seasons without a win. Coach Stone has the girls back playing Warrior basketball. They are playing at a more physical level and are in shape. No coach can do it all.
These girls got it in their heads that they wanted to win and have bought into Coach Stone’s program. The Lady Warriors are giving it their best and having fun.
The Warriors beat a good team Friday night, and if they maintain their game intensity, this should prove to be a good year for the Warriors.
The Warriors finished the first quarter with a 16-12 lead and went into the halftime break out front 28-22.
Both teams added six points each in the third quarter with the Warriors leading 34-28. The Stallions outscored the Warriors in the fourth period 13-11, but is was not enough as the Warriors picked up the 45-41 win.
