The Mount Calvary Baptist Church monthly meeting of Brotherhood, WMU, and BYW was held on Monday, November 7, at the Mount Calvary Family Life Center located at 405 Mount Calvary Road, Dillon.
After a delicious meal and fellowship, each group dispersed to the proper locations.
Carl Moody was the guest speaker for the Brotherhood.
He delivered an inspiring and informative session about his mission trips to Saigon and other areas in Vietnam. He has been there 11 times in the past 6 years. He spends a month there at a time.
He spoke of the many young girls who are born to the ones living on the river and lake there who are placed into the sex slavery market by the early age of 11.
Although he was heartbroken by this, he was estatic when he spoke of a couple who had given their hearts to the Lord and was serving him by spreading God’s word throughout.
Mr. Moody is now soliciting funds to build a Christian school in Vietnam.
