The Andrews varsity football team defeated the Latta Vikings football team 21-13 in Latta on Friday, Sept. 23.
Andrew’s Tyreike Stelle rushed for a touchdown and picked up 122 yards in the victory.
Latta’s Ontario McClellan rushed for a touchdown and 146 yards in the loss.
The Vikings’ quarterback, Dylan Brewer, completed 12 of 24 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown.
Davanota Porter grabbed 3 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown and also 15 tackles and 1 FR on defense for Latta.
Justin Hall added 10 tackles for Latta, and Chandler Nolon had 8 tackles and 1 FF.
Jalen Gomillion and Deonta Stanley each had 6 tackles in the heartbreaking loss for Latta.
Kendall Moultrie got 1 interception for Latta.
The Vikings fell to 3-3 and 1-1 in Region 7-2A for the season.
