Donald Douglas Brumble

Services for Donald Douglas Brumble washeld 2:00 p.m. Friday at Main Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Sayre officiating.  Burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation was held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Brumble, 89, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Latta, SC, March 15, 1927, he was the son of the late Winfield Hancock Brumble and Bessie Tucker Brumble.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II aboard the USS Power.  He was a longtime member of Main Street United Methodist Church, retired from Dixiana Mill, was a Kiwanis past president, and was involved in Dixie Youth Baseball.
Survivors include his son, Jonathan Brumble (Wanda Dean) of Irmo, SC; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; brothers, W.H. Brumble, Jr., and Horace Brumble; sister, Doris Chatman.
Mr. Brumble was preceded in death by his wife, Lois McCormick Brumble; brother, Walker Brumble; and sisters, Edna Louise, Carro Powell, Thelma Johnson, Bessie Virginia, Beatrice Gibbs, and Margaret Lee.
