The man killed on South Fourth Avenue on Wednesday afternoon has been identified, and a murder investigation has been launched, according to City of Dillon Police Chief David Lane.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identifies the victim as Brandon A. Hargrove, age 28, of Dillon. Grimsley said that he died as a result of gunshot wounds.
Hargrove was shot multiple times and found deceased at a residence on South 4th Avenue, according to City Police.
SLED, the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, and SC Probation Parole are all assisting the City of Dillon Police Department in this murder investigation.
