South Carolina Dillon’s 12 U Ponytails won the Softball World Series held at North Myrtle Beach from July 31 through August 5.
The entire team contributed to the victories with big, timely hits, and great defensive plays.
The opening ceremonies were held on Sunday, July 31.
South Carolina defeated Alabama 25-6 in 4 innings on Monday, August 1.
South Carolina picked up 16 runs in the first and 9 runs in the second.
Lexie Rogers began the game on the mound and was relieved by Lindsey and Abby Bristow.
Ashton Goodwin had 2 hits and 3 rbi, MoNazhia Sowells had 3 hits and 4 rbi, Shakinah Murphy had 3 hits, and Jayla Goodwin had 3 rbi in the victory. Abby Bristow, Shantana Anderson, and Jayla Goodwin each had 3 quality at-bats.
