Dillon Christian School And Lake View Meet In Seven-On-Seven Matchup

By Craig Brown
The Dillon Christian School Warriors hosted the Lake View High School Wild Gators in seven on seven matchups.
In June, football coaches would like to have all of their players take part in practice sessions but it is not mandatory. Some of the players are playing summer baseball while others are on vacation with their families and others are working summer jobs. But the vast majority of the players for Lake View and DCS have been able to show up.
Both the Wild Gators and the Warriors had most of their starting lineup show up Tuesday evening on the Warrior practice field.
Warrior Coach Christian Wolfe and Wild Gator Coach Daryl King have scheduled several of these Tuesday sessions before the regular season begins.
For the Wild Gators and the Warriors these sessions are not a competitions but learning sessions. Coach King stated that he has to face several teams with the Warrior style offense and he considers these practices very beneficial. Coach Wolfe likewise sees the benefits stating that practicing against Lake View, a team that has so many talented players will greatly prepare the Warriors for the upcoming season.
The seven on seven sessions allow the coaches to evaluate their passing offense and defense. The Wild Gators looked good and appear to be loaded and will be hard to beat in their new division 1A. The Warriors are young but also have some talent.
Coach Wolfe stated that their season rest on being injury free. Coach King stated that their season is taken one game at a time. King said that the Wild Gators face rival Latta High School in week zero and that is where they are focusing their efforts at this time.
If you would like to see some free pre-season football action then come out on Tuesdays and watch the Wild Gators and Warriors in action at the Warrior practice field.
