UPDATE:
Two arrests have been made in the deadly shooting in the Latta area. Sheriff Major Hulon held a press conference on Monday to announce the two arrests. Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the deceased as Christopher McAllister, age 21.
Arrested were:
Tommy Jones, age 25, of Latta, charged with murder
Raheem McDaniel, age 19, of Latta, charged with murder

INITIAL REPORT:
The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Saturday night in Latta, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was found by Dillon County EMS and Dillon County Sheriff’s Office at a residence on Legare Street in Latta after the victim went to the residence seeking help.
The resident called 911,and EMS and the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Legare Street.
The victim was transported to McLeod Medical Center by EMS where he later died.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating to determine where the incident occurred and the events leading to the deadly shooting.
