German has been named the 2016 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) softball Relief Pitcher of the Year as voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors.
She was among five Claflin University players in all earned post season honors.
German is 10-4 for the Lady Panthers and has posted a 4.07 ERA. A, 5-7 freshman from Dillon, German appeared in 18 games with 12 starts. She has recorded a pair of shut outs and a save in 90.2 innings pitched. Her batting average for 2016 was .347. She had 42 rbi and 13 homeruns.
German, who is second on her team in strikeouts (120), was also named to the First Team All-Conference.
