Dominion Files Abbreviated Application

Dominion Carolina Gas Transmission, LLC, filed an abbreviated application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for authorization to construct, install, own, operate, and maintain certain facilities located in South Carolina that comprise the Transco to Charleston Project. DCG seeks authorization for this project by November 1, 2016.
The application was filed on March 9, 2016. This is the company who will supply the gas to Wyman-Gordon.
Specifically, Dominion Carolina Gas seeks Federal Energy Regulation Commission authorization of its “Transco to Charleston Project,” pursuant to which Dominion Carolina Gas, will provide 80,000 dekatherms per day (Dt/d) of firm natural gas transportation service. The facilities required for this service and proposed in the application consist of approximately 55 miles of new 12-inch pipeline in Spartanburg, Laurens, Newberry, and Greenwood counties, SC and approximately five miles of 4-inch pipeline in Dillon County, SC. In addition to the pipeline, Dominion Carolina Gas will add two additional compressors to its Moore Compressor Station; a new compressor station located in Dorchester County, SC; and converting one existing compressor from standby to base load at the Southern Compressor Station located in Aiken County, SC. Dominion Carolina Gas will also be adding Metering and Regulating Stations, Mainline Valves, Pig Launcher/Receivers and Over-pressure Protection Systems.
