Loris Lions Defeat Wildcats

The Loris Lions defeated the Dillon Wildcats in varsity baseball action on Friday, April 15, in Loris.
Austin Causey pitched 5 innings in the victory for Loris. He allowed 6 hits, 4 runs of which all were earned, walked 1, and struck out 4.
Blake Dease suffered the loss for the Dillon Wildcats while pitching 3 innings. He allowed 7 hits, 3 runs or which were earned, walked 3, and struck out 3.
Loris picked up 12 hits and 7 runs.
Loris scored 1 run in the first inning and picked up 2 in the bottom of the third. The Lions also picked up 2 in the bottom of the fourth inning and 2 in the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Lions’ Athan Aftomos went 3 for 3 at the plate with 3 doubles and a rbi. Timmy Bell also connected for 3 hits in his 3 at-bats with 2 doubles or Loris. Clay Faircloth garnered a double and 2 rbi in his 3 trips to the plates for the Lions.
The Dillon Wildcats scored 1 run in the top of the third inning and added 4 iin the top of the sixth and 1 more in the top of the seventh.
The ‘Cats Austin Moody was perfect with 2 hits including a solo home run in his 2 trips to the plate. Jon Mitchell Carter also picked up 2 hits in his 3 trips to the plate for Dillon.
Dillon is now 7 and 7 for the season and 5 and 4 in Region 8-2A.
