The Dillon Wildcats junior varsity baseball team dropped a doubleheader to the Latta Vikings in Latta on Wednesday, March 16.
Dillon lost to Latta in a close game 3-2 in the first game of the day.
Latta scored in the bottom of the second inning when #5 hit 1 over second and picked up the first rbi of the game.
In the top of the third inning Dillon’s Jackson Hayes safely arrived at first base after hitting a grounder to the shortstop. Ian Patterson hit a hot grounder between the shortstop and second for a single.
After 2 and 1/2 innings the score was Latta 1 and Dillon 0.
Latta won the first game 3-2, and the second game Latta shut-out Dillon 6-0.
