The Carvers Bay Bears handed the Lake View Wild Gators softball team a 5-2 loss in Lake View on Friday, March 18.
The Bears’ Haley Haselden pitched the 7-inning game and allowed only 2 hits while striking out 10, allowed 2 runs of which both were earned, and walked 2.
Lake View’s Kayla Page picked up 2 hits in 2 trips to the plate including a 2-run home in the fourth inning. Jasmine Ford was 2 for 3 at-bats.

Carvers Bay scored 2 runs in the first inning and picked up another run in the third and fourth innings before Lake View managed to score a 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Carvers Bay added another run in the top of the seventh to make the final 5-2.
Each team committed 2 errors.
Lake View is now 4-2 and 2-1 in Region 8A.
