Latta’s Arica Gandy pitched a complete game while striking out three and allowing 8 runs on 13 hits while walking only 2.
The Lady Red Foxes’ Cayla Drotar pitched 4 2/3 innings and struck out 11 while allowing only 1 hit in the victory for Hartsville.
Both Myra McDonald and Tyalor Watford picked up 3 hits in 5 trips to the plate while McDonald connected for a double, triple, and 2 rbi, and Taylor Watford also picked up 3 rbi.
The Latta Vikings Camryn Sawyer picked up a double in 3 trips to the plate while picking up an rbi.
The Latta Vikings scored 2 runs in the first inning to take the lead.
Latta picked up another run in the third inning, and Hartsville got on the scoreboard with 2 runs. Latta led 3-2 after 3 innings.
The Lady Red Foxes picked up a run in the fourth inning to knot the game at 3 before Hartsville picked up 2 runs in the fifth to take the lead 5-3.
Hartville picked up 3 runs in the last inning to win 8-3 over the Latta Vikings.
Latta will host Dillon on Wednesday.
