Gators Softball Loses Heartbreaker To Myrtle Beach

The Lake View Wild Gators softball team lost a heartbreaker to Myrtle Beach 6-4 in an errorless game played in Lake View on Thursday, March 10.
The Gators took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and added another run in the third to go up 3-0.
However, Myrtle Beach picked up a run in the  fourth inning and 3 in the sixth to take the lead. The Seahawks also added 2 runs in the last inning, and Latta also garnered another run in the last inning.
Lake View’s Ally Spivey pitched a complete game in the loss.  She allowed 6 earned runs on 13 hits while striking out 1 and walking 4.
The Gators bats were alive as the team picked up 13 hits.
Madison Greene picked up 3 hits in 4 trips to the plate to lead the Lake View team while Kayla Page and Logan Spivey each garnered 2 hits in 4 at-bats with a rbi each.
Lake View is now 5-1 on the season.
The Gators traveled to Creek Bridge on Friday, March 11, and played a doubleheader.
