Khamele Manning scored 24 points as the Dillon Wildcats Varsity basketball team defeated Waccamaw at Pawley’s Island on Wednesday, February 10.
The Wildcats outscored Waccamaw 28 to 12 in the first half and 33 to 15 in the second half to seal the victory.
Dillon scored 13 points in the first quarter, 15 in the second quarter, 16 in the third, and 17 in the fourth while holding Waccamaw to 8 in the first, 4 in the second, 8 in the third, and 7 in the fourth.
Da’Keshia Samuel added 9 points, Kia Bell 8, Kendra McLeod 6, Adrianna McCullum, Ny-Asia Campbell, Dria Campbell, Adosha Graves, and Ja’Rhonda each scored 2.
Murray led Waccamaw in scoring with 9 points while Brown and J. Torrance each added 4 points, Franklin 3, and Gordan 1.
The Dillon Wildcats finished with 21 wins and 2 losses and in second place in Region 8-2A.
The ‘Cats will host a team to be announced at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16.
