Carvers Bay defeated the Lake View Wild Gators 65-40 in boys varsity basketball action Thursday, February 11, in Lake View.
The Bears took a 37-13 lead into halftime as the Bears outscored Lake View 20-6 in the second quarter.
Duane Nichols led the Gators with 15 points. McDaniel added 7 while Inman and Johnson contributed 4 points each in the loss. Nichols added 3 while Roberts scored 2 points. Carvers Bays’s Arkel Williams led all scorers with 19 points while teammate Quade Goss added 15 in the victory.
Green had 6 points, and Canteen and K. Reed each added 5 points in the win. The Bears’ Miller added 4 points and Dickerson 3. M. Goss, Brown, M. Reed and D. Goss each contributed 2 points.
The Carvers Bay Varsity Lady Bears defeated the Lake View Wild Gators girls basketball team 46-36 in action Thursday, February 11, in Lake View.
The Bears Angerl Homes scored a game-high 15 points to lead Carvers Bay to the victory. Anatashia Bromell added 14 while Weston connected for 6 points. Cole and Toung added 4 each while Cole had 2 and Adams 1.
Olivia McDaniel scored 12 points for the Gators in the loss while Page had 5. T. Cribb and Miller each added 2.
