ROCK HILL, SC—Mr. Michael Lynn “Mike” McDowell, 58, of 1226 Dunlap Roddey Road, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732, with Reverend Joey Deese officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park–Hollis Lakes Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Born in Dillon, SC, Mike was the son of the late Ruby Edge and Sam Leroy McDowell, Sr. He was employed at Siemens Energy, Inc. for 30 years where was Lead Tech in the Valve Department. His world revolved around his wife, daughters and sons-in-law, but mostly his grandchildren to whom he was lovingly known as “Pa”.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Sandy M. McDowell, of the home; his daughters, Sumer M. Lanum and husband, Bill, of Rock Hill and Reeanna M. Hinkle and husband, Tim, of York, SC; his three grandchildren, Dillon Lanum, Liam Hinkle and Anna Reese Hinkle; and three brothers, Danny L. McDowell, of Dillon, Ranny McDowell, of Murrells Inlet, SC and Sammy McDowell and wife, Karen, also of Dillon.
