Latta Blows Out Creek Bridge

The Latta High School Vikings blew out Creek Bridge on Friday night to win their homecoming game, 51-0, although Creek Bridge never quit playing.
The Latta Vikings #8 Davonte Porter took the opening kick-off to the Latta 32-yard line to start the game. Kartilus McFadden, #23, carried the ball for a six-yard gain and then again to Creek Bridge’s 44-yard line. McFadden then had a carry for no gain followed by a carry to Creek Bridg’s 34-yard line. Then an illegal procedure was called against Latta costing the Vikings five yards. Colby Lee, #7 passed to Tyquan Porter, #3. Porter caught the tipped pass, but it was called back. McFadden carried the ball for five yards and a pass completed to #2 Tyreik McAllister garnered another 9 yards for the Vikings.
On third down with one yard to go, McAllister handed the ball over to McFadden who picked up the first down. Tyquan Porter carried for five yards. Lee then completed a pass, but there was a loss on the play.
On third and eight, Lee passed to Tyquan Porter for six yards. On fourth and two, the Vikings went for it and McAllister completed a pass to Tyquan Porter for Latta’s first touchdown of the night. The two-point conversion by McAllister was good bringing the score to Latta- 8, Creek Bridge-0 with 6:11 left in the first quarter.
Keegan Sherman, #33, kicked the ball out of bounds on the kick-off. Creek Bridge got the ball on the 35-yard line. Creek Bridge got a penalty for a false start. #6 for Creek Bridge was stopped in the back field. On the next play, Latta was called offsides. Creek Bridge’s quarterback, # 1, carried the ball for a short gain followed by a carry by Creek Bridge’s #6 for another short gain. On fourth down, #88 for Creek Bridge punted the ball.
 Latta’s McFadden carried the ball for three yards but was stopped by Creek Bridge’s #1. McFadden then carried the ball. Davonte Porter, #8, caught a pass for six yards. Lee overthrew the receiver to bring up the fourth down. On fourth down, Lee completed a pass to Davonte Porter for the touchdown. Sherman kicked the extra point, which was good bringing the score to Latta-15, Creek Bridge- 0 with 2:09 remaining in the first quarter.
Sherman kicked the ball out of bounds on the kick-off. An illegal procedure penalty against Creek Bridge costs the team five yards. On the next play, Creek Bridge fumbles the ball, but they recover. Creek Bridge is then called offsides. The quarterback hands off to Creek Bridge’s #10 for a loss on the play to end the first quarter with Latta leading 15-0.
On third and 24, the Creek Bridge pass is incomplete. There is a flag on the play against Creek Bridge for unsportsmanlike conduct. On fourth and 35, #8 for Creek Bridge punts to Davonte Porter on Creek Bridge’s 45-yard line. Lee’s pass for Latta was incomplete. McFadden then scored Latta’s third touchdown of the night, and the extra point by Sherman was good bringing the score to Latta-22, Creek Bridge-0 with 11:24 left in the second quarter.  Latta kicked the ball out of bounds to Creek Bridge. Creek Bridge’s first play resulted in no gain. On a quarterback-keeper, Creek Bridge picks up six yards. They tried a repeat of this on the next play, but lost yards. #88 for Creek Bridge punted the ball to McAllister who returned the ball to Creek Bridge’s 45-yard line. McFadden lost four yards on the next play. Lee completed a pass to McAllister. There was a flag at the end of the play for a personal foul against Creek Bridge. McFadden carried the ball to the nine-yard line. This was followed by another carry by McFadden, but holding was called on the play against Latta. On the next play, Lee completed a pass to McAllister for a touchdown. Sherman kicked the extra point, which was good, bringing the score to Latta-29, Creek Bridge-0 with 7:23 left in the second quarter.
Sherman kicked the ball out of bounds, and Creek Bridge started off on their own 35-yard line. Creek Bridge then got a flag for too many players on the field. Another flag was thrown against them for a false start. There were two more plays, and then Creek Bridge got a flag for delay of game.
On third and 24, #6 for Creek Bridge took a short pass and ran to the 47-yard line for a first down. #6 for Creek Bridge took the hand-off and picked up one yard. Creek Bridge was called offsides. The Creek Bridge quarterback tossed one for a short gain. On third and 13, the Creek Bridge quarterback tossed one to #3 for Creek Bridge for a short gain. On fourth down and 15, the Creek Bridge quarterback threw an interception to Davonte Porter who took it to the end zone. There was a flag on the play on the 50-yard line against Latta for a personal foul so the touchdown was called back, and Latta started on their own 36-yard line. McFadden picked up a first down and then followed it with a four-yard carry. Lee scrambled and passed the ball for a 41-yard touchdown to McAllister. The extra point by Sherman was good bringing the score to 36-0 for Latta with 1:33 in the first half. Creek Bridge did little with their next possession before halftime began.
To start the second half, Sherman kicked the ball out of bounds. Creek Bridge fumbled the ball, and it was recovered by Latta. McFadden carried the ball to the nine-yard line. McFadden scored from the nine-yard line. The extra point by Sherman was no good bringing the score to Latta-42, Creek Bridge-0 with 11:40 remaining in the third quarter.
Jackson Williams, #11, kicked off, but Latta was called offsides and had to kick again. Williams kicked off again, and #8 for Creek Bridge returned. The quarterback kept the ball and carried it for the first down. There was a bad snap, but Creek Bridge recovered the ball. This was followed b another fumble which was recovered by Latta. Latta’s #17, Tyquan Horne, handed the ball off to McFadden who was stopped after one yard. This was followed by a McFadden carry and a Horne pass. On fourth and two, McAllister handed off to McFadden, but Latta failed to get the first down and Creek Bridge took over the ball.
#6 for Creek Bridge took the hand-off and picked up good yardage. There was a flag on the play against Latta for a horse collar tackle. #24 for Creek Bridge carried the ball for a short gain. Creek Bridge fumbled the ball, and #3 Tyquan Porter recovers. #28 Ontario McClellan carried the ball for four yards. McClellan carried the ball for good yardage. McClellan then carried for a five-yard pickup. Lee passed to Tyquan Porter.
Horne passed the ball, but it was incomplete. Horne was then dropped for a loss. At third and goal from the 15, Horne passed to Tyquan Porter. On fourth and goal from the eight, the pass was incomplete in the end zone and Creek Bridge took over.
Creek Bridge’s first pass was incomplete, and on the next play, they were dropped for a loss. On the next play, the Creek Bridge quarterback was dropped in the end zone for a safety by Williams. Latta’s lead increased to 44-0.
Creek Bridge kicked an offside kick from their own 20-yard line, which they recovered. #1 for Creek Bridge passed to #6 for three tough yards. A bad snap on the next play resulted in a big loss of yards.
Latta’s last touchdown of the night came when a double reverse by Creek Bridge resulted in a fumble which was recovered by #20 Brandon Hayes who put six points on the board for Latta. The extra point by Williams was good bringing the score to 51-0 with 1:46 left in the third.
#8 for Creek Bridge took the kick off to end the third quarter. #6 for Creek Bridge carried the ball, but was stopped by Latta’s #6, Rafael Berry. Latta stops Creek Bridge in the back field forcing Creek Bridge to punt.
#15 Jackson Powers came in as the new quarterback for Latta. He handed the ball off to Ontario McClellan, who picked up good yardage. #80, Jamison Ray, for Latta passed, but it was incomplete. McClellan carried the ball for the first down. McClellan had another carry. On the next play, Latta fumbled the ball, and Creek Bridge recovered. Creek Bridge was not able to score during the rest of the game.
