Warriors Observe Senior Night

The Dillon Christian School Warrior observed senior night with a big 45-7 win over Christian Academy Saints of Myrtle Beach.
The win ups the Warrior record to 7-2 on the season and 4-1 in region play. The Saints fall to 0-8 on the season. This was the Warriors final home game of the regular season and allowed the Warriors to play all of its reserve players. The Warrior’s opening drive ended quickly with Michael Minges finding Red Williams for a 16 yard touchdown pass.
The kick was off holding the Warriors to a 6-0 lead with 11:27 left in the first quarter. On the Warriors second possession of the first quarter, Minges hit Tyreck Toomer for an 81 yard touchdown pass. Jackson Wolfe’s point after kick upped the Warrior lead to 13-0 with 6:53 left in the first quarter. The quarter would end with this score.
Finishing a drive that began late in the first quarter, Minges ended the drive with his third touchdown pass, this time an eleven yard strike to Jackson Wolfe. The point after kick was off holding the Warrior lead to 19-0 with 11:19 in the second quarter.
On the Warriors next offensive possession, Tyreck Toomer out ran the Saint’s defenders on his way to a 75 yard touchdown run.
The kick was off leaving the Warriors up 25-0 with 7:53 left in the second quarter. With no time left on the clock, Minges hit Teshaun Lane with a 70 yard touchdown pass. Wolfe’s point after kick gave the Warriors a 32-0 halftime lead. With 6:25 left in the third quarter, Kelvin Stackhouse scored on a 33 yard touchdown run. The kick was off holding the Warrior lead to 38-0 with the third quarter ending with this score. Tyreck Toomer picked up his third touchdown of the game on an eight yard run with 11:09 left in the fourth quarter. Wolfe’s point after kick put the Warriors up 45-0.
With 3:47 left in the game, Christian Gaskins got the Saints on the board with a one yard touchdown run. Bennet Pearson kicked the point after to end the scoring with the Warriors getting the 45-7 win. On offense for the Warriors, was 6 of 6 passing for 215 yards and four touchdowns and had 35 yards rushing on three carries, Tyreck Toomer had 100 yards rushing on four carries with two touchdowns and caught a 81 yard touchdown pass, Teshaun Lane had 70 yards on six carries and caught a 70 yard touchdown pass, Kelvin Stackhouse had 48 yards on three carries with a touchdown, Red Williams caught two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown, Jackson Wolfe caught two passes for 26 yards and a touchdown and was 3 of 7 in extra-point kicks and Noel Miller added 3 yards on two carries.
On defense, Garrett Collins had 10 tackles, Kelvin Stackhouse had six tackles, Teshaun Lane and David Williams had five tackles each, Tyreck Toomer, Jake Boykin and Connor Hamilton had four tackles each, Red Williams had three tackles, Michael Minges, Ethan Shackelford, Noel Miller, Hamilton Hodges, Nick Smith, Samuel Coleman and Dallas Feeko had two tackles each.  The Warriors will have a bye week and return to play on Friday October 30 finishing the regular season in Holly Hill as they face a very strong Raider team. Game time is set for 7:30. A close game is expected and for Warrior fans it should be worth the long drive.
